Why do we have these rules?
- Students are using the top AND the bottom of the monkey bars.
- Students are pushing on the Monkey Bars.
- Students are jumping off the top of the Monkey Bars.
Rules
- Students use NEVER use the TOP of the Monkey Bars.
- Students should only use the bottom of the Monkey Bars.
- Students should not push or play games on the Monkey Bars that causes students to push each other.
Conflict Resolution: For quick and easy (Yes/ No... He said / She said) problems - students should engage in Rock / Paper / Scissors.
If teachers are finding that students are complaining or not able to resolve their recess conflicts... students have been made aware that teacher(s) may suspend that student(s) participation in that area of recess (or game) - or may simply take that game or equipment away as a recess choice.
Why will teachers suspend participation? - Because there are no benefits to students (or teachers) if a large portion of students are returning to class from recess angry or upset... Mr. B can help students find their "next best" at recess, if student(s) need help.
