Why do we have these rules?
Rules
BE NICE!
Any arguing that cannot be resolved with Rock / Paper/ Scissors - all players involved must leave the game.
4) Students hit or smack the ball - the goal is to hit the other player’s foot or leg.
How to get out:
Conflict Resolution:
For quick and easy (Yes/ No... He said / She said) problems - students should engage in Rock / Paper / Scissors.
If teachers are finding that students are complaining or not able to resolve their recess conflicts... students have been made aware that teacher(s) may suspend that student(s) participation in that area of recess (or game) - or may simply take that game or equipment away as a recess choice.
Why will teachers suspend the game? - Because there are no benefits to students (or teachers) if a large portion of students are returning to class from recess angry or upset... Mr. B can help students find their "next best" at recess, if student(s) need help.
- Students are cheating.
- Students are not taking their “outs.”
- Students argue.

- Until further notice, the version of Gaga Pit that we will be playing is called “ One in / One Out” - NO Elimination Gaga.. The round never ends!
- Game has 2 - 24 players in the pit.
- Other students wait on white octagon for their turn - student on red octagon is the next person in the pit.
- To start (& restart) the game, one student throws the ball up in the air and lets the ball bounce twice - and all students say “Ga” for each bounce.
4) Students hit or smack the ball - the goal is to hit the other player’s foot or leg.
How to get out:
- If a student touches the ball before the second bounce of the “Two-Bounce” start - then they are out.
- Anytime the ball touches student foot or leg… you CAN get yourself out!
- If the player hits or bounces ball out of the pit.
- If the player catches or picks-up the ball.
- If the player rolls ball with hand… player should hit or smack the ball once and then not again until it hits the wall or other player… sometimes players do a bunch of small hits across the Gaga Pit - that is not allowed - they should be out.
