Why do we have these rules?
- Not enough play time.
- Unfair teams.
- Arguing.
- The game is too rough.
- The “better” players get more passes and punts.
Rules
Conflict Resolution:
For quick and easy (Yes/ No... He said / She said) problems - students should engage in Rock / Paper / Scissors.
If teachers are finding that students are complaining or not able to resolve their recess conflicts... students have been made aware that teacher(s) may suspend that student(s) participation in that area of recess (or game) - or may simply take that game or equipment away as a recess choice.
Why will teachers suspend participation? - Because there are no benefits to students (or teachers) if a large portion of students are returning to class from recess angry or upset... Mr. B can help students find their "next best" at recess, if student(s) need help.
- No tackle or rough play.
- ONE hand touch to stop play (not two).
- New quarterback after 4 plays.
